The NSRDHDTD is working to establish a modernized quality assurance program for all of their oral health professionals. This is a key initiative and is expected to be a multi-year project.
The quality assurance programs developed by the legacy regulators that came together to form the NSRDHDTD remained in place upon amalgamation and are currently under review. These will remain in force until a new quality assurance program is developed.
Currently, in Nova Scotia, denturists must complete 36 continuing education credits every three years (Jan to Dec rolling cycle) to maintain their license.
The Denturist Society of Nova Scotia currently maintains the continuing education entries for NS Denturists. The Denturist CE Policy that continues to be in effect on May 1, 2025, is below.
