News Posted On Mar 18, 2026

The NSRDHDTD is pleased to share that it has successfully met all requirements of the Province’s Quality Assurance Program for Regulator Performance (QAPRP).

Following a comprehensive review by the Department of Health and Wellness, the Regulator was confirmed to be fully compliant with all current standards and expected outcomes, with no additional follow-up or action plan required.

This outcome demonstrates that the Regulator:

  • Meets provincial expectations for strong governance, accountability, and transparency.
  • Applies regulatory oversight and decision-making practices aligned with legislative requirements and recognised best practices.
  • Benefits from active Board oversight focused on monitoring performance and supporting improvement.

The Regulator’s Board of Directors received the Quality Assurance results as part of its governance oversight responsibilities. The Board Chair formally acknowledged the results on the Board's behalf.

Participation in the QAPRP reflects the Regulator’s continued commitment to strong governance, accountability, and public confidence in the regulation of dental hygiene, dental technology, and denturism in Nova Scotia.
