Please see the cover letter regarding the Federation of Dental Hygiene Regulator of Canada's (FDHRC) announcement on the publication of the Entry-to-Practice Canadian Competencies for Dental Hygienists (EPCCoDH). You will also find a link to the EPCCoDH document here.   

The FDHRC is working collaboratively with all stakeholders (key partners) who will be implementing the new competencies. In the Spring 2021, the dental hygiene legacy organization approved these Entry-to-Practice competencies, as developed by the FDHRC. This was approved by the NSRDHDTD Board on May 1, 2025.  It is understood that the anticipated timeline for full integration and implementation of these competencies into all elements outlined in their cover letter will take time.
